Hello, all!
I'm Sammie Herold, and I am a Supply Chain Management major at the wonderful University of Tennessee. I, along with 25 of the smartest, most well-rounded people I know, leave for London in 6 days. I would love to say that my suitcase is neatly packed and sitting in my bedroom corner as we speak, buuuuuut truthfully the only thing I have done to prepare for living in the UK is watch Dr. Who.
I CAN tell you that I'm ready for the plane ride! My Kindle is charged, I have a new set of knitting needles and yarn, and I've downloaded several episodes of my favorite podcast, This American Life, to my iPod. So, Sammie Herold: World Traveler is all set, right?
I have no idea what the next several months will bring, and I love that fact. Am I still nervous? Of course! But the fact that I have my fellow GLSers to figure it all out with me along the way is certainly comforting.
Pip, pip, cheerio, jolly good, then! Cheers, old bean.
Sammie
